OWDOOLAMPER CAMPAIGN TRAIN WELCOMES DECAMPEES FROM PDP By: Oriaifoh Godwins

On Wednesday, 9th January, Owdoolamper Campaign Train showed up at Usugbenu, Uwenujie, Idumabi, Idumebo, Usenu, Eguare and rounded up at Akho, all in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State, where scores of members of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, defected to the All Progressives Party, APC.

Receiving the defectors, in Usugbenu, the country home of the sitting Edo Central Senator, Clifford Ordia, Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror, Deputy Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, EDHA, and Member contesting for the seat to represent Esan Central constituency in the House, informed the defectors that they decided to decamp to join APC, because they have seen the light, and that, they will be properly welcomed into the party and celebrated during the bigger Esan Central rally where all other defectors from other wards will be present.

In all the Wards and Units visited by the campaign train, the message to the people, was loud and clear, “ESAN AGENDA”.
It is very clear that Esanland has not been maximizing political opportunities whenever they have the opportunity to, which is why Esanland has been taking the ‘back seat’ in the scheme of things in the political affairs of Edo State, viz-a-viz Nigeria. To bring Esanland to the fore, we have no option than to all sail in the same ship with the ruling party so that our political representatives can attract dividends of democracy to Esanland. This Esan Agenda, was clearly delivered to all.

Again, Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror informed the people that for Usugbenu to fully enjoy the dividends of democracy, they should all vote for APC candidates from the Senate to the House of Representative to the House of Assembly; saying, that way, it will be easy for all APC candidates, since they are in the party in power; as it will enable them to work hand in hand in attracting goodies of democracy to Esanland.

Rt. Hon. Edoror, promised them that the borehole (his consistency project) that he constructed in Usugbenu will soon be up and running again, but informed the people that the maintenance of projects is the responsibility of the community, not his, and that other upcoming projects, on completion, will henceforth be handed over to communities for management.
Edoror also said he will advise the Executive Chairman of Esan Central Local Government to allocate slots to Usugbenu in the employment of casual workers in the council.
At Usugbenu, and Akho, some decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party, were also welcomed to the APC.
