Roads turned into rivers as Barry made landfall along Louisiana’s central coast. The Category 1 hurricane was downgraded to a tropical storm with 70 mph winds, according to the National Hurricane Center. More than 100,000 customers are without power in Louisiana. There have been reports of downed trees and power lines. No flights are taking off from New Orleans International Airport.
