A bust of York — the enslaved explorer who accompanied Lewis and Clark — was mysteriously put in a Portland, Oregon, park last month. The artist still hasn’t formally come forward, but city Commissioner Carmen Rubio has praised the work and said the city plans to keep the bust on display.
