A California startup has taught a computer to “taste” wine by using chemistry and artificial intelligence. Founder Katerina Axelsson said the computer can identify a wine’s flavor profile and then compare the flavor, aroma, texture and color with other wines in the database. Her goal is to use this technology to help winemakers improve their products and attract new customers.
