A House committee on Wednesday advanced a bill that would create a commission to study reparations for descendants of enslaved Americans, a major achievement for advocates of reparations as it marks the first time this bill could have a full House vote on the floor. The commission would also consider how the US would formally apologize for “perpetration of gross human rights violations and crimes against humanity on African slaves and their descendants.”This legislation, however, has a very little chance of becoming law. Even if the bill is scheduled for a floor vote, it faces opposition from some Democrats and most Republicans and it’s unlikely it will receive the 60 votes needed to break a filibuster in the Senate. 1. And before y’all racists start crying, black people built this entire country for FREE. Black people invented almost EVERYTHING we use today that ALL history books ignore, and once again we built this country for free. Descendants of enslaved Americans deserve reparations like native Americans, Jews, Japanese Americans, etc.

  2. Cnn donated 85% of all campaign contributions to democrat party how can you expect them to be unbiased

  3. Haha never gonna happen. Secondly, if this ever did pass, no one i there right minds is going to pay for it. This is why I’m a Republican. This is bs. Myself, my dad, my grandfather, and whoever else were not involved with slaves at all. This pandering nonsense has to stop.

  4. This will further divide the country and ensure the house and senate go back to Republican control

  5. More ridiculous radical liberal BS!! We don’t owe you a God Damn thing!!🧐. Welfare isn’t a career!!

  6. Study the harm of LBJ’s Great Society payments and the erosion of the African American family and the absence of fathers and the drive to poverty because of it and then let’s talk. Many brave single mothers out there struggling because of this.

  7. What about all the hard work immigrants? The ones that are paying taxes, open small business, and helping the economy….. we deserve at least a immediate immigration reform….. giving people that produce a right to have a citizenship
