Ag. Board Chairman rallies support for Obaseki – Nigerian Observer

BENIN CITY – As the Edo State 2020 gubernatorial election draws near, the acting Chairman of Edo State Technical and Vocational Education Board, Hon. Monday Igninigie has urged people of the State to rally round Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki to deliver more dividends of democracy.

Igbinigie made the call in an interview with The Nigerian OBSERVER in Benin City.

He said the governor has performed creditably well in all sectors, adding that Edo people are not ingrates to have forgotten in a hurry the numerous achievements recorded by the Governor Obaseki’s led administration since 2016.

According to him, Obaseki has achieved a great feat in the areas of road rehabilitation/construction, Basic Education Transformation, Standard Health Care, as well as Judiciary and restructuring of the Civil Service Commission by creating a work friendly environment for workers.

He thanked the governor for prompt payment of workers’ salaries, pensions, youth/women empowerment, human capacity building, restructuring of the State’s Vocational and Technical Education sector, among others.

He noted that “I sincerely use this medium to crave the indulgence of Edo people to unanimously support the reelection bid and developmental stride of Governor Godwin Obaseki to deliver more dividends of democracy.

“His landmark and blueprint in all sectors is enormous.

“Workers and pensioners are paid regularly before the 28th of every month. Women and youths are receiving various skills acquisition training and they are equipped to become employers of labour.”

Other areas identified, he listed as, “Edo Basic Education Transformation and the restructuring of the Vocational and Technical Education sector seals all doubt.”

Hon. Igbinigie particularly applauded the governor for his utmost passion geared towards the transformation of the Government Science and Benin Technical College into a world class college.
