Daniel Andrews is asked if there are any plans to expand the Pfizer vaccine to over 60’s in line with decisions made by other states. In short, no:
We’re not going to be making those changes. I wish other states well, they are in a different position, they don’t have outbreak, so all the stuff I have been talking about, the urgency and traffic driven by cases, I’m not critical if Anastasia or whoever has done that, we won’t be doing that, and I think people who are in their 60s and older, they understand they have a job to do to protect themselves and protect everyone, they have a perfectly good vaccine, there will be exceptions to that for history and medical reasons, don’t be guided, don’t get medical advice from anyone other than your doctor or pharmacist, or a nurse vaccinated state clinic. Make an informed choice, but for heaven‘s sake, take the vaccine available today. Don’t wait a month, don’t wait a week because it may not be there, it simply may not arrive.
