Breaking: EDU To Host Esan Leaders Summit

The Esan Development Union (EDU) an Esan Community Development Initiative has finalised plans to host the “Esan Leaders Summit” aimed at promoting unity, enhancing security and battling unemployment in Esan land.

This was revealed to Esan.TV by leaders of the Union following their meeting held recently on ways to solve some militating security and unemployment issues facing the Esan Ethnic Nationality.

According to Dr Nosa Edeko, President of EDU “there is the need for Esan people home and abroad to come together in unity to fight unemployment and insecurity in Esan land. Government alone cannot do it” he added.

Another EDU key stakeholder, Mr Leo Obasami said “The proposed Esan Leaders Summit is also aimed at reawaking the dying norms and values of Esan People to prevent our cultural heritage from going into extinction”.

Francis Oyomo used the medium to commend the group for coming up with a programme of this nature at a time like this in Esanland when the ethnic nationality is under threat from invaders and insecurity and unemployment has become the order of the day.

The programme according to the leadership of EDU will attract interested Esan leaders and stakeholders in the security industry, attract investors in government and non governmental organizations as well as proffer workable solutions to the various development and cultural challenges facing Esan land and people.
