Chloé Zhao has made Oscar history. On Sunday, the “Nomadland” director became the first woman of color and the second woman ever to earn best director at the Academy Awards. “This is for anyone who has the faith and the courage to hold out to the goodness in themselves and to hold out to the goodness in each other, no matter how difficult it is to do that,” Zhao said in her acceptance speech. “Nomadland,” which follows a woman who travels around the US in her van after her husband dies, also won best picture and star Frances McDormand won best actress for her performance in the film. 1. Why is important the color? And really? She is a person of color? REALLY???? Wow this comment is soooooo so wrong. Trying to fight this and you still bring it up.

  2. Did she really deserve It or It’s just because they “needed” a woman this year? 🤷🏻‍♀️

  3. Why are white people so salty though? The comments are so hateful. Had she been a white Woman or better yet a white man no one would be saying shit.
