Comrade Ohens Set to Float Center For Community Empowerment

Comrade Kingsley Ohens, the National President of Esan Youths Movement (EYM) and the Executive Direction of has finalized plans to unveil a community development innitiave christened Kingsley Ohens Center For Community Empowerment (KOCCEM) to be headquartered in Opoji in Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State with a liason office in Benin City the state capital.

This was revealed to by the Converner Comrade Kingsley Ohens in Opoji.

According to the community leader, the core mission, vision and aims of KOCCEM include amonsg others:

“To improve the quality of life of communities dwellers around Edo State and Nigeria in general, with a focus on health, education, community empowerment and the environment”.

Furthermore, Ohens said “the Core values of KOCCEM include: Community Engagement.
The Foundation actively seeks the ideas and active participation of the residents in the design and implementation of all initiatives.

Community Ownership:
The Community members actively participate in the implementation of all initiatives and have significant control and protection over the sustainability of the interventions which ultimately improves their lives.

All resources are managed prudently, in a transparent and accountable manner.

Impact and High Quality Standards:
All interventions are world-class, transforming the lives of community members

The objective of the Foundation is to intervene in the areas of Education, Health, Environment and Community Empowerment. The Foundation is focus on reaching the less reached people in our host communities. This aim at improving the people’s health and wellbeing, lifting them out of poverty through our projects and programmes and, also in creating access and opportunities to quality education.” He said.

KOCCEM is also finalizing collaboration plans with Comrade Obasuyi Free Treatment Initiative to provide socour to dissavantaged Nigerians especially in heart related health problems
