Do The Right Thing, and We Shall Be Best Of Friends, Hon Josie Ogedegbe Tells Igueben Council Workers

The executive chairman igueben local government council Hon Josie Ogedegbe has again proven his Prudence leadership when he told the Igueben council workers to be more proactive for the purpose of efficiency in the discharge of their duties.

Engr. Ogedegbe made this advice on Monday morning at the joint meeting of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) and Staff at Chief Tom Ikhimi Conference Hall in the council secretariat. While admonishing them he told them the only way the government can achieve success is for everyone to collectively do the right. He also warned that this government will not condole every forms of dereliction of duty.

He also advised that every revenue collector should remit every payments within 24hours and any revenue officer who fails to do so shall face the law.

He further opined, that the council shall not tellorate the attitude of taking the tax payers money for personal gain, he warned that any body caught in such uncultured act shall be dealt with decisively.

The 2018 award winning Edo state best local government chairman, also used the opportunity to reveal the plans of the council to introduce what he called “Clock In Clock Out System” for staff to check the excesses of late comers.

In reaction, the National Union of Local Government Employees NULGE Comrade Adoghe thank Hon. Josie Ogedegbe for summoning the meeting to address issues bothering staff of the council. And assured Him of strict adherence to all the directives.

The meeting which lasted about 1hour 30mins, was in attendance of NULGE chairman Igueben chapter, Comrade Adoghe, Head of local government administration, Dr. Yeromoh, Special adviser to the council Hon. Victor Emovuon, Supervisor for Works Hon Osi Masada, special assistant on media to executive chairman Comrade Patrick Enemiye.
