Dr. Thomas Newman, 73, died following complications from Covid-19 in January and left his family a sports memorabilia collection, mostly baseball cards, which is now valued at $20 million. His 1933 Babe Ruth card (shown in the middle) “is the finest known of its kind and we expect it to break the record of $5.2 million for any sports card,” said JP Cohen, president of Memory Lane Auctions.
