EDO PDP: Let’s Not Divide Our House- Comrade Obasuyi Appeals.

A Former House of Reps Candidate and Edo PDP Member; Comrade Michael Obasuyi has finally spoken out on the issue of Alleged Tenure Elongation rumoured to be causing disunity among the Edo State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party-PDP. Comrade Michael Obasuyi who was on a Friendly visit to EGOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA PDP Excos, disclosed certain hidden Truth in the Matter. He advised Members to maintain Peace and shun anything capable of dividing the Party. He cautioned against unfounded Speculations from any quarter regarding tenure elongation, as he said there are a lot of mischief-makers who have waited till this moment to divide the Edo PDP.

His Words ” I want to tell you Categorically that I Spoke with the State Chairman some Months back , and he told me in plain Words- ” Comrade, Our Tenure is soon up, and I would not even want to stay even for one(1) day more, not because of anything, but because I feel I have done my own part, I have made my Mark, let another Leader continue from where I stopped “. It was an amiable statement he made, and I couldn’t agree more. The Edo PDP has experienced a lot of Growth, warm & wide acceptance, as well as remained the Major Opposition voice, speaking for the People since the Dan Orbih-led Administration came on board” .

He further stated” I tell you, there are a lot of persons who want the Edo PDP to be weak, because they have seen the handwriting on the Wall come 2020, just like the biblical saying to King Nebuchadnezzar- MENE-MENE-TEKE- URPHASIN. These are People who have never been loyal to our Party”.

Comrade Michael Obasuyi who is also the National Chairman of UNITED REGISTERED POLITICAL PARTIES ( URPP)- A Political Pressure Group with over 52 Political Parties across 17 States charged solemn the LGA Caucus to always put their allegiance on the Party, rather than busybodies.

“Even if there should be extension of tenure, I see nothing wrong in it. In these unstable times, with palpable tension, the focus of members should be how to take over the State come 2020. A change in Administration clearly and ultimately may affect Work processes, thereby causing hitches, as many would be struggling to get used to the new Administration. Don’t forget all these heat are in the midst of Primaries and a rapidly approaching Gubernatorial Elections” .

Members in response promised to maintain the Status quo, and refused to be dragged into the personal fights of some selfish Leaders who want to give the Party a bad name and thwart the already recorded developmental strides they have experienced these past Years.
