…………Set to Collaborate With OSM

Edo women under the agies of Women Political Orientation Drive joined the emerging tradition in the state  as they stormed the street of Ekpoma on Friday to show their support and endorse Edo State Governor and his Deputy, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu for a second term.

The Women declared that they will follow their endorsement with massive rural and urban mobilisation of all groups  to vote overwhelmingly for Governor Obaseki in 2020.

The women in their thousands marched from Market Square in Ekpoma to Iruekpen, celebrating Governor Obaseki and Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu and creating awareness on his achievements.

As they marched, and displayed banners and placards  urging Governor Obaseki to seek re-election.

The women were drawn from the 5 Local Government Areas of Edo Central Senatorial District, with each highlighting the projects executed  by Governor Obaseki in their respective councils.

In a solidarity message, the leader of the group, Mrs Anthornia Enaifoh said Governor Obaseki has made Edo people proud through  development projects, hence the endorsement.

She assured the governor that Edo Women will stand with him all through the electioneering period up to his re-election and we will collaborate with the Obaseki/Shaibu Movement (OSM) in the State.

Spokesperson for Esan North East Women Wing, declared that the women have experienced  good governance under the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki, saying that they will reciprocate by re-electing him.

Mrs Oboh of Esan West and Mrs Carol Igberese of Esan South East stated that the infrastructural development have had positive impact in the lives of women and their businesses.

The association leader also, lauded Governor Obaseki for his commitment to the welfare of Edo Women.

Highpoint of the occasion was the presentation of gifts by the women to some of the less privileged in the locality.
