Education: Ogbekpen Primary School Meets Completion: Ready To Admit Pupils In The Next Academic Year

The Executive Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government, Dr. Eric Osayande has announced the completion of Ogbekpen Primary School, in Ogbekpen Community, Ward 9, Ikpoba-OKha Local Goverment Area

Ogbekpen ranks amongst the four (4) Primary Schools built by the Osayande-led administration; others are Ikpoba Primary School, Ward 1, Avbiama and Obazagbon Primary Schools in Wards 5 and 8 respectively

On a project tour of the Primary School (Ogbekpen) Thursday 25 April, 2019, the Chairman’s delegation, led by the Chief Press Secretary Eseosa Ewere, it was discovered that the 3 classroom block with Headmistress office, toilet and other essential facilities were all set for usage and will take-in pupils in the coming academic session

Dr. Eric Osayande has said that Council is in talks with the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (#SUBEB) for the prompt deployment of teachers to the newly-built community school

While speaking on the development, the Odionwere of Ogbekpen Community, Pa Godwin Omoregie said “I am very happy, I have to give kudos to the Chairman of Ikpoba-Okha because he has done a great job for us, for the past years, over fifty (50) years, we have been looking for school, but no school, but during his time, a school has to come to this community”

It was also revealed that children of school age in Ogbekpen will no longer have to trek long distances to attend schools in neighbouring communities as Obayantor, Iyanomo, Obagie etc as the newly-built school is programmed eradicate the hitherto unpopular trend

Pa Omoregie also, on behalf of the community extended immerse gratitude to the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki for the ongoing massive road construction in the community and further appreciated Dr. Eric Osayande for his people-oriented initiatives, he said “even many good things has entered this community through him and through the Governor of the State, which is Obaseki”

Recall that barely two (2) months ago, February 1st precisely, the Council Boss in his 1000-chair distribution exercise gave two hundred (200) chairs to Ogbekpen Primary School
