Eid-el-Fitr: Leadership Of OSM, congratulate Muslims, call for sustained prayers..

The State Coordinator of Obaseki Shaibu Movement, Hon. Miracle Ogbebor has congratulated the Muslim faithful across the country, on the successful completion of the month-long Ramadan. Hon. Ogbebor also called for sustained prayers, for peace in the State and Country in general.

In a statement by OSM Sate Publicity Secretary, Ohens kingsley, to commemorate Eid-el-Fitri today, Hon. Miracle Ogbebor said in spite of the Government’s appreciable efforts in combating insecurity, it is imperative for the Muslim faithful to utilise this period to pray fervently for peace and unity in the state and country.

“Eid-el-Fitr is a time of love and goodwill. It gives us a message to love all and hate none.”
His deputy, Hon. Engr. Efosa Aguabor, enjoined Muslims to remain true to the teachings of Islam, imbibed during the fast, even after the holy month.

“I congratulate our Muslim Umah for successfully observing Ramadan and prayers, with its life-enriching lessons in the virtues of love, forbearance, unity, patriotism, self-sacrifice.
“I urge them to continue in a life of prayers for the nation.

On his part, the State leader of Obaseki Shaibu Movement, Hon. Demain Lawani, in his Eid-el-Fitri message, said it is only by embracing peace, unity and fairness that Nigerians can begin a rebirth, urging them to imbibe the tenets of love, tolerance, forgiveness and brotherhood which the period of the holy month exemplifies.

“As we celebrate this auspicious occasion of the end of the holy month of Ramadan, therefore, let us renew our faith in our nation and implore the Almighty God to restore to us those values that place high premium on human life, love for our country, love for our neighbour and sharing even as we ventilate our faith in the unity of our dear country and the possibility of her taking her proper place.
Hon. Lawani also thanked the good people of Edo State for their continued harmonious and peaceful co-existence in the midst of diverse ethnic origin and religious affiliation.

The grand patron of Obaseki Shaibu Movement, Senator Dr. Domingo Obende felicitated with Muslim faithful for the successful completion of Ramadan and emphasised the compelling need for all Nigerians to continue to live in peace and harmony as well as offer special prayers for the country.

Senator Dr. Obende stressed that it is only when Nigerians live to cherish one another that “we can make rapid progress and strengthen the bond that brought us together as a prosperous nation, in keeping with the dreams and aspirations of our founding fathers.”

Also, the Diaspora Coordinator Prince Victor Oyakhilome aka Vicky Larg has felicitated with Muslims at Eidd-el-Fitr.
In his message, Vicky Larg urged the Muslim community to pray for the unity and peace of the nation as they celebrate.

He called on the Muslim faithful to use the Id-el-Fitr celebrations to re-dedicate themselves to the ideals of peace, security and friendship.

He thanked the state government and security agencies for putting in place security measures to ensure a peaceful Sallah celebration.

In his own message, the SSA to the Governor on Political matters, Hon. Marvillous Zibiri who rejoiced with the Moslems, congratulated them for successful fasting, through which they fulfilled one of the five pillars of Islam.

Hon. Marvillous reminded Muslims that a day like like this calls for sharing of love through charity and compassion.
He also said it calls for understanding and devotion to the progress and development of the country.

He urged Muslims to explore the spiritual content of the Eid-el-Fitri celebration by letting its essence bring them into greater love for one another.
