That’s why the largest union in one of the dirtiest industries is broadly backing President Joe Biden’s $2 trillion green infrastructure package. Climate groups largely support Biden’s infrastructure plan, although some argue it should go further to respond to the climate crisis. The coal industry would benefit from the Biden proposals to rebuild bridges, ports and airports — all steps that would boost demand for steel, which typically uses coal as a key ingredient. “We’re for infrastructure. We’re for jobs. We’re for moving manufacturing into coalfields. We’ll work the president on that,” Cecil Roberts, president of the United Mine Workers of America, the country’s largest mine workers union, told CNN.

  1. Donald Trump has caused a racial division nation wide. 200k dead due to the corrona virus. We can’t allow him to run this country again. Biden 2024!!!

  3. I voted for Trump but this infrastructure plane isn’t that terrible. It is needed. I suggest some tweaks here and there though. Less woke shit and more broadband and nuclear. But all in all a better proposal than anything either side has put forth in Congress.

  4. Did that one guy tell us this was what CNN was going to do?! First they did everything they could to take Trump out of office and when they have nothing else shove climate change down your throat. He literally said this and it’s happening, lmao how do you people still take cnn seriously

  5. coal miners WANT and NEED training to expand their knowledge and abilities. That is what this program means. Restructuring our industry for ALL. More training to our people to compete in an international market. Tired of the JOB CREATORS telling us how good we have it without preparing us for the future.
