New York and Maryland both announced Thursday they’re creating lotteries for people who get vaccinated against Covid-19 to boost vaccination rates. Ohio was the first state to start a Covid lottery, announcing last week five drawings giving away millions of dollars. Ohio officials said vaccination rates among Ohioans 16 and older were declining, but increased by more than 28% after the lottery was announced.

  1. Were it not for the risk the anti-vaxxers pose to the innocent, I’d be dead set against this effort to keep alive such intellectual dead weight and get them out of the gene pool

  2. A couple months ago the country was running out of money.. Now it’s giving it away!? How does that work?

  3. Keep it up. It’s working. No matter how embarrassing it makes us seem for those countries desperate for vaccines…

  4. Yeah. Give it to people who stuck a syringe in their arm. Not to like, poor people that need it for food or anything. Great country, truly. Awesome
