Pandora, the largest jewelry producer in the world, said on Tuesday it will no longer use mined diamonds in its products. The Copenhagen-based company will instead use diamonds created in labs which it says have the same “optical, chemical, thermal and physical characteristics” as mined diamonds and are more ethical and environmentally friendly. The collection is rolling out in the United Kingdom and expected to launch globally next year.

  1. Better yet, instead of just ignoring the unethical mining practices how about they actually invest their blood money into eradicating the practice outright.

  2. But it most probably won’t be worth the same as miner diamonds 💎. I mean, if it can be created in the lab, who’d want to pay a fortune for it.

  3. I used to have a ring with a lab-grown ruby and I thought it sounded so sci-fi and cool, lmao
