Part of a highway in Florida won’t be keeping its name much longer after Miami-Dade County commissioners voted to rename portions of The Dixie Highway after Harriet Tubman, according to CNN affiliate WPLG. “The time is always right to do what is right,” said Miami-Dade District 9 Commissioner Dennis Moss, quoting Martin Luther King, Jr. While the name change was approved by this county, it would be up to each state to rename other parts of the highway, which runs through 10 states from Michigan to Miami. 2. With so many new infrastructures going in everywhere we should be naming the new roads after these heroic and admired people (and yes I think she is to be admired) however I am not supportive of erasing history. The good, the bad and the ugly is what brought us to where we are today and all of it is important and there were important people in all sides of it.

  3. Good day! I ask for your help. I work at 2 jobs and live at the station because there is no money to rent the simplest room because of the loans that I pay. I am ready for any conditions. I’ll tell you more in the drugs. Please help me solve financial problems. The world is not without good people.

  4. Give black people reparations! 400 yrs of slavery. We don’t care about you naming shit after us! That same highway will have cops pulling over blacks, possibly killing them and he will get paid leave. This slave naming shit that’s not really ours is a slap in the face. Where’s the 40 acres and a mule. 400 fuckn years of free labor and this is how we are repaid. We don’t need this. We need resources. Your whole little game of giving us acknowledgement after we’re dead but still treating us like 3/5 of a man is over!
