Senator Ordia Bags Another Award For His Outstanding Performance

ABUJA – The Lawmaker Representing Edo Central Senatorial District Senator (Engr.) Clifford Ordia (FNSE) has been awarded for Proper Representation by Ethics and Self Value Evaluation; a Lokoja based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO).

The award ceremony which took place in Abuja yesterday July 5, 2018 also featured the issuance of Legislator’s Performance Appraisal Score Card and Gold Medal to the Lawmaker.

The said NGO, Centre for Ethics and Self Value Evaluation, is a non-state-actor which majors in exposing corruption, promoting ethical leadership, providing ethical education and value orientation of global citizens which it does annually by engaging in Annual Secret Independent Assessment Projects to Federal, States, Local Government Areas and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with a view to conducting an independent multi-sectoral secret assessment project on public officials without their prior knowledge to avoid any possible influence.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Executive Director of the organization, Prince Yakubu Salih explained that the assessment carried out by the NGO were all round representatives, tertiary institutions, commissioners and senior officers in the country.

According to him, “we have ensured presence in most of your programmes/activities and sampled opinions, and interviewed the citizens including workers on your stewardship so far as members of the Federal Assembly. We have been keeping close watch on your quality service delivery”

From our findings, you have used character and performance to change the pattern of representation of the people, the type exemplified by our heroes’ past.

“We are indeed overwhelmed by your people’s testimonies of your leadership and recommendations during our field work in your constituency. We interviewed market women, artisans, security personnel, students of both Secondary and Tertiary institutions, leadership of women and youth Organizations, other non indigenous men and women residing in your constituency including traditional title holders”

In his response, Senator (Engr.) Clifford Ordia commended the Organization for finding him worthy of the award bestowed on him which he said was as a result of his resolve to make life better for his constituents. “We wouldn’t relent in the fulfilment of our campaign promises”, he added.

He promised that he would contribute his quota to promote and encourage the organization’s effort in promoting core value system geared towards eradicating corruption and aiding good governance in the country.

Of a truth, Senator Clifford Ordia is an outstanding performer.
