SENATOR ORDIA DECRIES GROWING INSECURITY IN EDO STATE.

The senator representing Edo Central Senatorial District, Senator Clifford ORDIA, has condemned the growing insecurity in the state especially the increase in cases of kidnappings. The senator was reacting to the recent kidnapping of the Chief Medical Director of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Professor Sylvanus Okogbeni by some gunmen in Benin today.

Senator Ordia called on the security agencies to rise up to the challenge and ensure that the CMD is rescued and released unhurt.
He called on all well meaning members of the public in the state to be more security conscious and report any suspicious character or movement to the security agencies.

“Our total support goes to the family of our brother and friend, Professor Okogbeni in this trying period and we pray that God will touch the hearts of the kidnappers so that they release him without delay unhurt”. Senator Clifford Ordia expressed his sadness over the death of the two police officers attached b to the CMD and pray that God will grant their families the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable losses.
