Senator Urhoghide hail Obaseki’s developmental strides in Edo – Nigerian Observer

ABUJA – Senator Matthew Aisagbonriodion Urhoghide representing Edo state South Senatorial District and Chairman of the Public Account Committee of the Senate has extol the development virtues of His Excellency Governor Godwin Obaseki.
He made this known in a media chat with some journalists at his office in Abuja.

According to Urhoghide, the party is not only happy to have His Excellency as a candidate but that he has done very well to be given another chance to consolidate on all of his achievements in the state.

“We must know that power comes from God alone and in His wisdom, He gives it to whoever He pleases at the right time. We must also note that God allowed what happened during the nomination process for a reason. ”

“Looking at all the issues that played out in the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state, they gave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) an edge. This is because as a party, there is no way it could have won any election considering the state of the party in Edo state. Virtually every ward in the state has lost a PDP member.”

The Lawmaker, pointed out that by the help of the Almighty, the party was able to “carry the messenger with the message “, which is actually a great plus for the party.

While extolling the developmental strides of the governor, Urhoghide noted that even as an opposition party in the state, there was no way they could have faulted the governor because he did absolutely well.

“The governor truly transformed the state with real proven records there for all to see. The reformation of the civil service with workers receiving salaries on the 25th of every month, the welfare of retirees been looked after, the revamp of the Bendel Insurance Football Club, agricultural development with the influx of investors into the state. ”

” Virtually every sector of the economy has been impacted positively and it is only good to give him another chance and we are glad that as a party we are happy to be identified with him and to help deliver his second term mandate”.
