This cardboard cutout was a stand-in for Dean Horace Anderson, Jr. at Pace University’s law school graduation. Graduate Velislava Bozhinova (above) shook his cardboard hand during the small in-person ceremony. It was an effort to keep students and staff safe during the pandemic, while still honoring the milestone. “When I found out that we were getting a cardboard cutout I thought both my school and the student leaders went above and beyond to try to create as realistic of an experience as possible,” said Bozhinova.

  3. How about this: he’s actually there, but just doesn’t shake hands. This is actually a perfect example of how dumb higher education has become.

  4. 😂 what?
I thought the caption was gonna say this is a picture of a graduate with a brother or father that passed away.

  5. Imagine getting 50K in debt and they got you shaking a piece of cardboard on the way out. 😂
